Winter Fun...

St Nick came and delivered presents to all of us on December 6th. Brayden got a little people nativity set...and he has been enjoying it. He runs around with 2 of the 3 kings constantly (guess he figures he is the stand in for the third) and I am finding them hidden in random places daily--the barn, trucks, and under the table. He also LOVES anything that sings Christmas music...I have had quite my fill of Christmas tunes, and we still have quite a bit of time to go. Today, I finally had to hide a few of our musical christmas things---but I guess its good that he is in the Christmas spirit!

Let it Snow, Let it Snow... Brayden REALLY loves the snow! Aaron took him out in the snow the other night sledding and he was so happy. But since it is freezing here, it is hard to go outside for long periods of time. However we got lucky when we took Brayden to see Santa (who he is not much of a fan of) they had a whole play area with artificial snow---so mommy and Brayden were happy---warmth and snow!

Brayden is staying as busy as ever despite the cold temperatures outside. He enjoys sneaking nutri-grain bars to his dog, updating his facebook status, hiding in his secret place, chasing mommy and daddy, running on the treadmill :) well pretend running and his newest trick is climbing--all on his own---on to our ottoman coffee table---what a BOY!!

A great start to the holiday season

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving...we are a little late putting up photos...but better late than never :) We hosted Thanksgiving this year and it was great to have our family together. We ate, watched football, played games, crafted, and celebrated a few birthdays. We are so blessed and thankful to have such a wonderful family. We are truly thankful for so much. Here are a few photos from our turkey celebration...

We also headed to Lincoln Park for their Zoo lights...and you can tell from the photos, the little guy had a wonderful time, as did we

Over Thanksgiving, we (my mom, Aaron's mom, grandma and myself) made an Advent Calendar--here is the final product---which is beautiful--and Brayden is enjoying the notes and treats that he gets each day, as Christmas approaches

First snowfall...

On Saturday, we headed out to Oney's Tree Farm to cut down our Christmas tree. It turned out to be the perfect day...snow was falling and it was not overly cold. I cannot begin to explain how adorable Brayden was in the snow. He just smiled as big as he could, reached his arms out and tried to catch and eat as much snow as he could. It was precious. This was the first year that we cut down a tree---we threw out our Walgreens special tree in the move. It was such a wonderful way to start the Christmas season. We rode on a horse-drawn wagon out into the tree farm and we hunted for the perfect tree. When we found it, Aaron chopped it down and bunged it to the roof--Grizzwold Christmas style. Enjoy some pictures from our day...

First Haircut

So, it took some convincing...on Aaron's part...but we took Brayden to get his first haircut tonight. As you can see from the photos below...his rat tail was getting a little out of control...and the moment that made Aaron decide that it was that time to cut our son's hair, is when he was bathing him the other night...and called me in to see his do--so here are so Before photos...

And some after...
To take care of the "rat tail" we headed to Kidsnips tonight...and Brayden had his first haircut. He did great...as you can tell from the photos he was a little nervous...and was not a big fan of the clippers...
But, when all was said and done...he looked very handsome...and a little older...sniff, sniff...but it was time to take care of his tail and spruce up for the holidays!

The Shedd...

Last Saturday we headed to the Shedd Aquarium. Brayden just loves to watch fish. We went pretty early, so he was able to roam around. He watched all the fish pretty intently--he really enjoyed the sting ray area---you can basically stand above them and look down. He also really like the kid's tide pool area...as you can see he stuck his hands right in...and went to town...splashing and having fun.

Here are a few photos from Friday morning...everyday the routine is as follows...milk, then his morning snack---Cheerios-- to tide him over on the drive---as you can see he dumped them everywhere and then held his bowl up wanting more. Then, he headed out the door to Kim's for his 3 course breakfast...

Where is Brayden??? Oh there he is....hiding in our table?!?!?!
