Santa's Visit

I went to visit Santa for the first time while I was in Belleville. I got dressed in some Christmas attire.
I was a little hesitant at first, but thank goodness Santa and his elf were patient and I did finally stop crying long enough to tell Santa what I want for Christmas and to get mommy and daddy at cute 1st picture with Santa! Hey you can't blame me for crying--mommy just places me on some strange, hairy guy's lap--it's scary for a little guy like me!!

Thanksgiving Trip

I had my first trip to southern Illinois this past weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving. I slept the whole way---5 hours!!! When I arrived my great-grandpa was so excited to get his hands on me!!! Here he is feeding me in the wee morning hours.
In the morning, my grandma and grandpa came over to visit...mommy and daddy wanted to take a nap after the long trip, but they were just too excited to see everyone too. As you can see, my dog, Bruiser, was jealous of all the attention that I was getting so he had to hop up and get in the picture.
We headed over to my Aunt Jenni and Uncle Joe's house for Thanksgiving dinner. It sure was great to see everyone and I cannot wait to eat the yummy food next year since this year I was just hitting the bottle!
Here I am with my Aunt Colleen, she likes me, but gets really nervous when I start crying!
After Thanksgiving dinner, I snuggled up with my daddy and we both took a little snooze.
Later that evening, my great-grandpa read me a book....
I really liked it!!!

Here is a 4 generation picture...my mommy, grandma, me and great-grandpa

Busy, busy, busy

I had such a busy weekend! On Friday, we went to a new mom's group...it was alright, but I prefer my Tuesday group of friends...so I am looking forward to tomorrow! Then Friday night, mommy and daddy decided to take me on a date to Que Rico---where they found out about me! I slept in my stroller the whole time, so that they could enjoy their date.

On Saturday, my Grandma and Grandpa Jefford came to visit me. So as you can see I got all cleaned up for them.
They took me on a long walk and to Starbucks. I was really sleepy throughout their whole visit...but after Starbucks I was wide awake...I think they snuck some caffeine in me so that I would be up for mommy and daddy---it sure worked!!!
Sunday, Garrett and Jean came to visit before they went to the Bears Game. As you can see I was dressed to cheer on my team....
However with the way the Bears are playing this season, I will just have to continue dreaming of them winning.
After such a busy weekend, today I relaxed in the swing for a bit...I am really enjoying my swing these days. I need to rest up these next days, so that I am ready for go when I get to Belleville for the big Thanksgiving celebration!

All smiles

What a HAPPY boy! Brayden is starting crack LOTS of smiles...they are still pretty unpredictable...and hard to catch on camera...but today he was on a smiling roll! Here are a few shots...

Daddy also read Brayden his (and his dad's) new favorite book...Braves 101. Our poor son is not even 6 weeks old and having a baseball team identity crisis--Braves, Cardinals, Cubs....who should he cheer for?? But my advice to our son is to cheer for the team that actually makes the playoffs...and I am pretty sure that he will listen to his mommy!

One month stats

On Monday I went to the doctor's for my one month checkup. And well, I guess my parents are feeding me well...because I now weigh 9 pounds 10 ounces and I am 22 inches long. I am in the 50% for weight and the 75% for height. Mom asked if there was any way that I could be eating too much...however thank goodness the doc said, "Nope...if the boy is hungry feed him...he just might be a hungry baby. And when he was born we was kind of small...so he just maybe catching up!" So that is what they are doing! I am eating 5 ounces at almost all meals...and I think sometimes I could go for 6! I am getting so excited to see my grandma and grandpa Jefford this weekend and then see all my family in Belleville for Thanksgiving---my first LONG road trip..we will see if I decide to sleep or not on the 5 hour drive....mommy and daddy are hoping that I sleep...but I like to do my own thing...so we will see how I feel that day!
