May Happenings...

The last weekend of April/beginning of May, we did a little tour of central Illinois. Our first stop was Champaign. We went to see Lisa (who was in town to run the half marathon with her dad---they did great---and I must give props to Rich for beating his daughter!) While we were there...we enjoyed the pool, went out to eat, and got to see Mary (another one of my friends from college). It was so great to see everyone and catch up! It seems that this will be an annual get together! (Which I am excited about). Here are a few pictures from Champaign...





Then on Sunday we headed to Peoria, for a much overdue visit to see our family that lives there. We had a great time visiting with the family. Brayden was quite busy hunting for eggs with Grandma, getting in the dog cage with their pug, playing with the other kids and adults...and also got VERY close to kissing a rat---GROSS!!!!!!!





The following weekend, Mother's Day weekend, we headed into Palatine for Big Trucks! Brayden had a ball checking out all the big trucks...we had a few melt downs...he did not want to leave the garbage truck or the school bus!!! He beeped the horns and looked like a natural behind the wheel!





On Mother's Day, the boys were very sweet to me. We went out to brunch, at Wildberry---a delicious spot, headed to church and then just enjoyed the beautiful weather outside. I just realized today, that we did not take any pictures really on mother's day...except for these two...We set up Brayden's sand and water table---a huge hit...and this other picture which is how he looks lately outside, because he is obsessed with planes!


These are just two random dinner photos....as you can see, he is NOT a fan of pasta...however yogurt is a different story!!!


Today I am 17 weeks preggo....this one is going by VERY FAST! I am feeling big...but this picture was taken just last week....so me at 16 weeks...and I guess I am not that big yet!!! (YET, being the key word)

Reading...a favorite pastime!

Last night, Brayden went to his first bar party!! Well....it was actually a bar and grill...and there were other kids there....so we are not terrible parents!! But we went to celebrate our friend Brent. He graduated from the Academy...and is now a Chicago Police Officer!!! Congrats!!!! Brayden was quite the ham...and very much enjoyed the party and FOOD!!!!
