It's A GIRL!

Welcome to the world Hadley Rose Jefford

Here we go...39 1/2 weeks...this is before we headed to the hospital to start the process....I was induced since they thought this one might be on the big side like Marshall....and well the Dr I love, Dr Gerber, was available on Thursday to deliver....so it sounded like a great idea....

The process began Wed afternoon....and it did go slow....I still had not made much progress in the morning, and even after breaking my water....things still moved a little on the slow side...
However, once we got started, things moved quick.  She finally wanted out, and after just 4 or 5 pushes, we heard the surprising words....
 "It's A GIRL"  I screamed...I told them to check again...we don't make girls....
I am not going to lie, there were quite a few times I wanted to open that sealed envelope and look....but I am SO glad that we held out and waited, it was the BEST surprise ever!!!!!
Hadley Rose was born on Thursday Jan 9, 2014 at 4:44 pm.  She weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.  While I was being cleaned up, and Aaron was over by Haddie, I just could not believe that we have a baby girl.  It was like a dream come true.  Of course, we would have been just as happy to have another boy....our boys are wonderful and really all you want as a parent is to have a healthy baby....but the chance to experience a girl as well as our boys....is just amazing....what a blessing.   Once the shock wore off...
I just snuggled and tried to let it all sink in....and then we needed to name her.  Aaron and I both love the name Haddie....however we were not sure if we would go with Hattie or Hadley with the nickname Haddie...so we waited and thought...and we decided the name Hadley is just so pretty....and well so is she...and we can still use Haddie as a nickname.  The middle name is Rose...this is after my grandma Rose...how I wish she was her to meet her....but I am sure she is looking down on her and will be her guardian Angel....maybe she had a little talk with the Big Man and helped us get a little a girl
Here is Miss Haddie this morning, Friday.  She cried a whole 2 times last night....and I know that she is still in sleepy mode...and that when we get home she will wake up....and we will have a lot to figure out with 3 kiddos....but we are IN LOVE.  I have not been able to decide who I think she looks like.  She just seems so small and petite....her little lips, eyes, nose....I just stare at her in amazement...  I could not have dreamt of a better way to round out our family...it feel complete

The boys came with grandma and grandpa this morning...and boy were they excited.  Brayden has a lot of questions, like how did she get out?  And Marshall just kept saying baby and trying to kiss her.  Brayden said this whole time that we were having a girl...he said he needed a sister, since he has a brother.  And Marshall has been saying boy, but he always wanted to kiss my belly...this kind of led me to believe that she was a girl.

I sent Aaron last night to the gift shop to get a bow...Brayden wanted to be sure that it would come off
 Me and the kiddos...all 3!

 Kisses....
 Love...
Grandma...she thought we were having a boy...but she got a good surprise....
Grandpa....he thought she as a girl....and he was right!

Our family of 5....wow how have we gone from a family of 2 to a family of 5 in 5 years!!!!!  I am so happy and so in love...I love that the boys have a brother and sister....I am so excited as a mom to have the chance to raise these kids and get to see the world through their eyes....
