Trip to Southern Illinois plus some

After being back from WI for 2 days and doing A MILLION loads of laundry...we packed right back up and Aaron took off on a work trip and the kiddos and I headed to Belleville for one last visit before back to school.  Here is what happens while mom packs....its a little game called "How much stuff can we make a mess with, while mom is trying to clean up"---if you are a parent, I am sure you have played....sorta similar to 52 card pickup

Once we got to Belleville, grandma came and stayed with us at Great-Grandpa's since I was on my own will all 3.  Aunt Beans hung out with us quite a bit too....and it was so great to hang with the family.  We stayed busy hitting up fun spots and getting in some good, quality family time.
We went to the Magic House in St. Louis....one of my all time favorite places....there was a special China exhibit that the kids really enjoyed.  We played with pandas, learned how life in China looks, made paper lanterns, learned how to write in Chinese and Haddie and Marshall were in a Dragon parade!

This was in the China exhibit...I can't remember the connection...maybe the Chinese like to work out???

A scary thought....

Brayden and grandma making some music---he is a little heavy to lift up...all 60 pounds of him!

Shape art
Aunt Beans and Brayden climbed through some secret passage and duct work to go down this slide....all while Marshall snuck out and decided to get "lost" for a few minutes....

Another fun climbing web

Grandma...please unbuckle me....she tries to be soooo convincing

The parade....seriously...I could not get enough of her in this outfit

She figured out the flag

And was ready to walk

The parade

Meeting the dragon after

Marshall's little slice of Heaven on Earth.....he could have played here all.day.long

She is not one to miss a beat...she got right in there

Marshall doing his "dream" job

Of course, Haddie needed a turn too!

Brayden loved this thing....load in balls and scarves and then they shoot out

Real MUSICAL chairs

Life-size bubble

Mirror-maze

Brayden was looking forward to doing this electro-ball thing all day long....he has grown so much...no longer is he shy or timid about doing things....he loves to just try everything...I love it!!!!

Snuggles and reading with great grandpa

We went to pick blackberries and bought some peaches while we were at the orchard.  We went on a hayride, played with all sorts of fun outdoor toys...and well Haddie, she ate her weight in berries :)

Tractor ride

Playtime

I would pick 10...and put them in the container...and the next time I would go to drop more in, they would all be gone....she LOVED them....

And here is the proof
More please

Smoothie time with great grandpa

We went to the splash pad and we were lucky to have Clara with us

We also had a family get together at Lou and Ashley's....it was so great to see everyone and catch up...so much fun and so much to celebrate!!!  And no party is complete, until there are a few Jefford boys in their underwear....

Clara and Haddie

Delicious BBQ

Lou made this cat tower....but the kids saw it as a play structure...they had a ball in it....

High fives and

Kisses

It was such a great trip!!!!

The fun did not stop when we got home....we had to continue to pack in the fun...so we headed to the zoo with our neighbors and had a great day

While we were there we headed to a new exhibit, The Family Experience. Brayden really wanted to go in the bird zone....I really DO NOT LIKE BIRDS...I find them dirty and creepy...and am just not a fan.....but I was a trooper and wanted to make them happy...so in we went.  There must have been 300 birds free flying in the building and they would fly right up....you can even buy a stick with bird food on it, so they come up and sit on you or the stick

Haddie LOVES birds...she tried to catch one and bring it home for a pet

Always hace to end the day on a ride!

And then we needed to make some art thank you's....they love painting!
