Christmas and Happy 2017!!!!

After we finished baking...we sampled and got ready for church!
We went to the 3:30 service for Christmas Eve....and someone feel asleep

Trying to take a picture of them by the tree was quite the chore....

After some love and conversations from her big brother...she finally cooperated

After the second pep talk though...

And then immediately needed food :)

The kids got Build A Bear gift cards from Grandma...they were so excited to build...well except for Hadley who really didn't understand the whole flat bear becomes stuffed thing...but in the end she was happy!

We went to see the lights at the shrine....the lights are always one of my favorites and must dos....the puppet show however...was BaBaBaboring......  But they did have this awesome nativity made out of legos

The only puppet show pic we have.....

The day after Christmas we headed to southern Illinois to see my side of the family.  It was so great to see everyone and catch up.  We enjoyed a delicious German Christmas meal and had fun visiting!

Great Grandpa and all the great grandkids

The grandkids and our families....we sure are filling the room!

Getting in my baby kisses....

Mom, John and Grandpa

We only stayed in southern Illinois because Marshall had surgery on December 29th to have his tonsils and adenoids taken out.  On our way back to Palatine though, we got to stop in Palos Hills and see my good friend, Lisa, and her family....sadly I didn't take any pics!

Marshall's surgery went well...he loved the nurses and all the TLC!

Happy 2017!!!  Since Marshall was recovering we just stayed at home for NYE 2017.  We watched Pete's Dragon and had some good cupcakes!

We got a pass to the Museum of Science and Industry from Grandma and Grandpa Jefford...so once Marshall was feeling up to it...we went for just a bit to check it out!  It was awesome!!!  We only saw a small portion but we loved everything we saw!  We got to enjoy the Brick By Brick Lego exhibit, see a 40ft vortex and get lost in a mirror maze!

The boys got chosen to do a Lego Challenge...they called themselves the Builder Brothers

Painting Fun

Cooking Up a Storm

Marshall had some tough tough times while recovering, we actually ended up back in the ER for fluids and steroids via IV...however he seems to now be over the worst of it.  He missed a week of school...but luckily I was off so we could be together....here is a sad picture of him sleeping sitting up...and then some where he is having fun!
