He has now figured out he has the strength to open the fridge....this is no good!
On Friday, we met one of my friends and her little boy, Max, at a petting farm. It was so cute. The boys had a great time together and loved feeding the animals.
Saturday, we headed down to the city. Aaron's work co-hosts a kickball tournament and Bears players play in it as well. It is for a great cause...and Brayden got to see some Bears players up close and personal. He was a big fan of Forte's dog!
Afterwards we headed to Burger Fest in Roscoe Village to meet friends for yummy burgers.
Sunday....he decided to dump out all the cereal all over on the couch in hopes for finding some marshmellows..
Followed by...him tatooing himself with a bunch of stickers...Funny kid!
Which brings us to Monday...Taken moments before the POWER WENT OUT...7:30 am...
So, like I said the power went out...fun for the first hour with flashlights and such....but then...not so fun. So we decided to head to Woodfield mall...they have a nice indoor play place...which Brayden enjoyed. And then we had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe...so we did make the best of that situation.
Unfortunately, we when got home at 12:30....still no power...so we took naps in the HEAT box. Finally at 2:30 it came back on...so only 5/6 hours without...I know we are lucky since some people will be out of power all day and for days to come...it is just hard to deal with.
To brighten the day...it was 7-11's birthday....so we got a slurpee night cap! Brayden's first try...
And then comes today...
Well...as I am writing this...this is where the NOT so GOOD part comes into play...I am sitting by a VERY SICK little boy who has just finally passed out. All of a sudden today, it hit him out of no where...Brayden is SICK :( He has a temp of 102...and will not eat anything and drink very little... Well thats until I gave him a cracker and a little mac and cheese...which was a BAD IDEA and soon came right back up...ALL over EVERYWHERE...all over the couch, the carpet, down the hall into the bathroom...as this is going on...Bruiser is exploring the mess...the landlord is calling---the washing machine repairman is on the way---and they are here! UGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! I quickly bathe Brayden...let in all the visitors and put the mut outside....I am trying to figure out how to clean it all up....as Bruiser eats the screen door---yes, literally eats through the screen door in front of the landlord! Somehow...I got through it all...I think the washing machine is fixed (we will see after this nasty load)...the landlord spared her comments on the door..although I could read it in her face that she was TICKED...and the little man is passed out. The couch...well....I am not so sure what to do about that....Aaron sent me a text that said coffee grounds and vinegar...I am not sure that either are a good idea?!?!? I put a little vinegar water on it....and he is going to get cleaner after work...as for this mom...I want my baby to feel better....but I am will be ready for my weekend get away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
